Marcelo Bielsa has been hit with another huge injury blow to add to the already lengthy injury list currently at Elland Road.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, Phil Hay, confirmed that Stuart Dallas is set to be ruled out for 4-6 weeks with a fractured foot.

This latest update gives Marcelo Bielsa a major selection issue heading into the festive period, with Leeds already looking thin on numbers in defence.

Liam Cooper and Luke Ayling are set to be ruled out over the festive period already, and Pontus Jansson has only just returned to full fitness following his own injury worries.

It means that Jamie Shackleton could be asked to fill in at right-back with no other recognised full-back available to the Leeds boss.

Dallas will be bitterly disappointed at his injury lay-off, as he had shown positive signs of nailing down a starting spot in Marcelo Bielsa's side in recent weeks.

The latest injury only adds further concern to Bielsa's training methods and high intensity style, with a number of fans citing that as the main reason as to why Leeds seem to have a never-ending injury list this season.

Leeds host QPR at the weekend and they face a tough task in defence with only Pontus Jansson and Barry Douglas being the only recognised first-team defenders available to the Leeds boss.

The Verdict:

Where do we start?

Leeds have had a ridiculous amount of injuries this season and Dallas' latest injury adds to the growing list of defenders that will be unavailable for the festive period.

Bielsa's has a massive selection dilemma ahead of him for this month and will be hoping that his side can stay in touch with the promotion chasing pack, who have a much greater squad depth than Leeds do.

This latest news could put a real dent in their promotion ambitions this season.
