Journalist identifies damning stat regarding Wolverhampton Wanderers

Published

Journalist Tim Spiers has tweeted a damning stat about Wolverhampton Wanderers’ home form.

The stat is that only four others teams, those being Newport County, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa, have lost fewer home games than Wolves since the start of the 2015/16 season.

Wolves have won just 11 home matches since the beginning of last season, which only betters the three listed teams.

Newport County have tasted victory on home soil just 6 times since last season began, whilst Charlton and Aston Villa have both won just 10 games in that time, as they were relegated last season from their respective leagues.

Four of those 11 Molineux wins for Wolves have come this season, two of those have been since Paul Lambert arrived at the club in November while the other two were under former boss Walter Zenga.

Wolverhampton Wanderers sit 20th in the Championship, just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Paul Lambert’s side have lost their last five games in all competitions which has seen them slip right back into the battle at the bottom.

If they want to survive, Wolves’ home form has got to pick up, and soon, as time is running out form them to do so.

Wolves fans… What can your poor home form be put down to? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
