Nottingham Forest will complete the signing of Kamil Grosicki from West Brom on a season-long loan.
The Polish winger has been on the Reds radar for some time and he initially joined Albion over Forest when they were interested back in January.
With the Baggies winning promotion, Grosicki has found game time hard to come by and reports last month indicated he would move to Olympiacos before sealing a loan switch to the City Ground but that didn’t materialise when the international window shut earlier in October.
However, Forest were still linked with the player but reports from the Polish media suggested a deadline day move wouldn’t happen.
But, Telegraph reporter John Percy has provided the latest on the situation, confirming everything has been agreed and it’s now a matter of time until the club announce Grosicki’s arrival.
Whilst the 5pm deadline has passed, extensions can be granted if the paperwork was submitted on time, so there is no major rush for Forest if they’ve done that.
If this loan happens, it will be the second winger Chris Hughton has brought in today following Anthony Knockaert joining.
Forest fans will just be delighted that this is over one way or another as the constant stories over the past few weeks will have driven them mad.
And, it looks like a very smart capture on paper. Grosicki has starred in the Championship regularly over the years and will bring goals and assists that the team are lacking from out wide.
So, this would cap off a great day for Hughton and he has a brilliant squad to work with as he looks to take the team up the table.
