Josh Morris has extended his current loan at Fleetwood Town until the end of the Skybet League 2 campaign.
The 22 year old midfielder has impressed at the Cod Army, ever since joining the club from Blackburn Rovers on a one month loan in February.
Graham Alexander’s men are firmly in the promotion shake up, following a superb 3-1 win against Bristol Rovers at Highbury on Tuesday evening.
Morris will remain at the club for the duration of the season, which could see Fleetwood partake in the play-off’s, should they fail to gain automatic promotion to League One.
Alexander stated his delight to the clubs website, following the news.
“He is playing very well and he is causing the opposition problems down the left-hand side of midfield. He has shown he is a young player with a bright future ahead of him.
“He shows a lot of quality on the ball and he is a good part of the squad. I am pleased he is staying and we thank Blackburn for allowing us to keep him.”
Fleetwood host Rochdale on Saturday in a crunch game at the top of the League.
