Davison was probably a figure that split opinion a fair amount in his time at Charlton, but his work rate and dedication to the cause was never in doubt.

The Verdict

If Davison can pick up where he left off in League Two last season, it is highly likely that he will be playing in League One again in the not too distant future.

The Dons could be in for something of a transition season in the fourth tier this time around after such a difficult second half to 2021/22, while Johnnie Jackson begins to get his ideas across from the dugout.

Wimbledon are in the middle of the pack with the bookmakers, and will be hoping that some transfer business between now and the end of the window can give them a better chance of competing towards the top end.

Davison offers a good focal point for the likes of Ayoub Assal and Luke McCormick to operate around.
