Pep Clotet doesn't have the biggest squad to work with at Birmingham City but some players still had to leave on loan in the summer to get regular football.

One of those was defender Josh Dacres-Cogley. The 23-year-old hasn't been a regular for Blues over the years but he has still made 25 appearances since making his debut in the 2016/17 campaign.

However, it became clear under Clotet that he wouldn't force his way in this season, so a loan move to Crawley Town seemed to be ideal for all parties.

But, it hasn't gone to plan, with Dacres-Cogley extremely unfortunate in that he suffered a fractured ankle back in August which has restricted the defender to just three appearances for his new club.

And, even though it was a short space of time, he had impressed for Crawley in his limited time on the pitch, registering two assists on his debut as the side drew 2-2 at Scunthorpe.

With the side now ten points from the play-offs and seven above the drop zone, Dacres-Cogley will be returning to a side that are stuck in mid-table, although they are struggling for form right now.

Do you know where these 15 ex-Birmingham City players are playing now?

The nature of his injury means that he is still to come back but the initial diagnosis at the time predicted that the defender would be back in around three months, so a return could be on the cards before the New Year.

Providing that's the case, Dacres-Cogley will be desperate to get back out there and he will want to play regularly towards the end of the campaign to put this nightmare few months behind him.
