Barnsley will be looking to end their horrendous run of form in the Championship by picking up a positive result in their clash with Derby County on Wednesday.

The Tykes opted to part ways with Markus Schopp yesterday after losing seven league games on the bounce in the second-tier and are currently on the lookout for a new manager.

Joseph Laumann will oversee proceedings at Oakwell tomorrow as he has been placed in caretaker charge of the first team.

The 38-year-old may decide to make some alterations to his team as Barnsley look to kick-start their season with a victory over a Derby side who are currently bottom of the Championship standings.

Here, we take a look at how the Tykes could line up against the Rams...

Laumann may opt to stick with the 3-4-3 formation for this particular clash.

Brad Collins will be aiming to keep his third clean-sheet of the 2021/22 campaign against Derby tomorrow.

Liam Kitching, Michal Helik and Mads Andersen are all expected to feature in central-defence and will be tasked with providing cover for Collins.

Callum Brittain and Jordan Williams will line up in the wing-back roles for Barnsley.

Meanwhile, Jasper Moore could be partnered by Josh Benson in the heart of the midfield.

Benson may be drafted in as a replacement for Claudio Gomes after the Frenchman was substituted at half-time during last weekend's defeat to Bristol City.

If the 21-year-old is given the nod to start in the club's showdown with Derby, he will be looking to replicate the performance levels that he illustrated against Luton Town earlier this season as he registered an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.57 in this particular clash.

By producing an eye-catching display against Derby, Benson could potentially become a mainstay in Barnsley's starting eleven for the foreseeable future.

Aaron Leya Iseka is likely to feature on the left-wing whilst Devante Cole could play on the right-hand side.

Cauley Woodrow is expected to lead the line for Barnsley and will be keen to add to the three goals that he has already scored at this level during the current campaign in tomorrow's showdown with the Rams.
