Ibe has returned to Liverpool

Ibe has been a real sensation for the Rams since arriving at the Championship club on loan at the beginning of the season.

The winger has been widely tipped to be a huge success at Anfield and was said to play a huge role in Liverpool's season, however, Rodgers saw fit that Ibe was best shipped out on loan.

The 19-year-old had agreed a season-long-loan with Steve McClaren's side, but it looks as if Liverpool are ready to recall the midfielder.

Ibe has wowed the crowds with some scintillating performances; bagging five goals in twenty games, helping guide Derby to second in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The teenager will be given one last chance to say goodbye to the fans in the East Midlands Derby, against arch rivals, Nottingham Forest.

Touted with a big future ahead of him, the England U20 international will be ready to take his strong performances back to Liverpool as he fights for a first team place in the Premier League.

A player with undoubted quality, Ibe is blessed with pace, skill and poise. He will be a hugely missed asset if he does depart the Rams, Derby boss, Steve McClaren may have to dip his toes into the water to try and find someone to fill the void.

A statement on the Derby official site read:

'Jordon Ibe has been recalled from his season-long loan deal at Derby County by his parent club Liverpool.

He will return to Anfield with immediate effect and leaves with the Club’s best wishes and thanks for his contribution.

The 19-year-old wideman joined Derby in August from Brendan Rodgers’ side and made 24 appearances in total, scoring on five occasions.

Derby County would like to thank Liverpool for allowing Jordon to spend the last five months at the iPro Stadium.'
