Jonathan Woodgate has hinted that Middlesbrough could be interest in signing Harold Moukoudi in the summer, but only for the right price.
The Teessiders completed a move for the defender in the January transfer window after bringing him to the club on a loan deal until the end of the current season.
Since then, Moukoudi has started Middlesbrough’s last three fixtures against Brentford, Wigan Athletic and Luton Town.
While Woodgate’s side haven’t won any of these games, he’s been suitably impressed with the powerful defender and when quizzed on a potential move for the Saint Etienne man, the manager says that it’s something thar he’d be keen to pursue.
Has Jonathan Woodgate been a success as Middlesbrough manager so far?
As quoted by Teesside Live, Woodgate said: “It depends on the price.
“He’s a good player, a really good player, I’ve been impressed with him.”
How much do you know about Middlesbrough’s January signings? Let’s find out!
It’s interesting to hear that Jonathan Woodgate is already keen to make Harold Moukoudi’s move permanent.
After making just three appearances, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the defender would need more time to make a real impression, however it seems that Woodgate has already taken a liking to the centre-back.
Whether Saint Etienne are willing to let him go remains to be seen as he is undoubtedly one for the future.
But if they do it will be up to Middlesbrough to strike a deal as I can’t imagine he’ll be allowed to leave on the cheap.
