Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia has been showing off his new haircut whilst away on international duty with the Ivory Coast.

The 29-year-old has done away with the conventional short back and sides he has been rocking all season, shaving the sides completely and growing it longer on the top as well as adding tramlines to his eyebrows.

Whilst on duty, Kodjia will come up against Rwanda in his country’s final African Cup of Nations group stage qualifier.

He has made 15 appearances for his country since making his debut back in May 2016, scoring seven goals in the process.

Back in England, Villa climbed into the play-off places last weekend thanks to an impressive 3-0 win against Middlesbrough at Villa Park.

After the international break they welcome Blackburn Rovers to their fortress and will be confident of making it five wins on the bounce.

The verdict

I mean, I am sure some fans will care about their striker’s hairstyle, right?

Personally, I have no idea why any fan would. It’s their hair so let them do what they want.

Unless Kodjia had crafted it into a perfect sculpture of Steve Bruce’s head, I do not think I was ever going to care, however.
