The Verdict

When you consider that Hogg has established himself as a key player for Huddersfield over the years, the club will be pleased by the fact that he has decided to extend his stay.

During the previous campaign, the midfielder helped the Terriers reach the play-off final by making 1.4 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game in the Championship whilst he also registered a pass success rate of 85.6% at this level (as per WhoScored).

By maintaining his fitness over the course of the current campaign, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Hogg helps his side achieve a relative amount of success in this division.

Having made 324 appearances in the Championship during his career, the 33-year-old clearly knows exactly what it takes to compete at this level.
