Bödvarsson was brought back into Millwall's starting lineup for Tuesday night's clash at Ashton Gate, as Lions manager Gary Rowett changed the side's formation to a 3-4-3 shape, with the 27-year-old forward playing alongside Tom Bradshaw and Jed Wallace in an attacking front three.

The Verdict

The Iceland international was an unused substitute against Nottingham Forest, and only featured for a total of five minutes against Birmingham, but took his chance against Bristol City, putting in a good performance for the Lions.

It was the second time Millwall have played in a 3-4-3 formation to good effect away from home, with the system also being used in the win against Swansea City.

It could be a tactic that Rowett's uses for more away games in the future, which will give Bödvarsson further chances to impress in attack.
