League One outfit Bradford City have confirmed on their official website that manager Stuart McCall has had his contract terminated following a run of six defeats in a row.
The Bantams are still in the League One play-off places but their poor recent run of form, including their most recent defeat, a 2-1 away loss against Oldham Athletic, who find themselves in the division’s relegation zone.
Bradford’s next match is at Valley Parade against Bury and it remains to be seen whether they will have the new man in place before that fixture on Saturday afternoon.
The club’s fans took to Twitter to react to the news, that appears to have upset them even after the run of form that would have seen the club slip out of the play-off race if it had been allowed to continue.
We’ve taken a closer look at some of the best Twitter reaction to the news…
Form is temporary, class is permanent. Stuart will be forever a legend at #bcafc

Don't back him in January. Sack him week after transfer window closes. Every fan saw this coming. Joke of a club we have become.

Absolutely devastated, not optimistic about the future of this club

Club legend. Thanks for everything Stuart #BCAFC

Really? 6 games without win deserves the sack? Why back him 2 week ago then

HUGE mistake by the board! Watch the wheels come off big time now Edin!! @JamesMason_78

Right decision, ignore the haters. Now make the right decision in replacing him!! Sadly the fella is not cut out for management. Time for someone who understands the model, which 80% of clubs run with now anyway

Really sad for Stuart but happy that he gets to keep his sanity and he's gone before it made him ill. Ultimately the right decision in terms of results and 'relationships'. All the best Stuart. #bcafc

An absolute joke. One form dip and yer out.

All the best Stuart, but 6 loses in a row to a L2 side and 4 in the bottom 6 with bad performances from the players this was going to happen. Any other team would have done the same

Edin, please leave. Disgraceful decision.
