Aston Villa are the form team heading into a crucial period of the Championship season, where Dean Smith's men will be one of the most feared sides.

The Villans are currently sat 6th in the Championship table and are the form team heading towards the end of this year's campaign.

Villa supporters will be hoping that a number of their players have recovered and are fighting fit to help aid their team's promotion challenge.

Smith's assistant, John Terry has recently returned from time away from the club, as he spent time on holiday with his family out of the country over the last week.

The former Chelsea man took to Instagram to show that he had returned to Villa's training ground ahead of a season-defining conclusion to this season.

Terry has been impressive alongside Smith in his first coaching spell in football and certainly has a bright future ahead of him.

He knows the club inside and out as well, having previously taken Villa to an agonising play-off final defeat last season, where they were eventually defeated by Fulham.

The Villa Park faithful will certainly be pleased with what they have seen in recent weeks, as they have made a rapid rise up the Championship table at the perfect time.

Terry, Smith and their squad will be hoping to cement their position inside the top six when Villa are next in action when they host Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

The Verdict:

He's played a crucial role in Aston Villa's success this season.

I had my doubts about Terry when he was appointed coach, but Villa seems to be the perfect place for him this season.

Villa have hit form at the perfect time and I think they'll be one of the favourites to win promotion via the play-offs if they finish inside the top six.
