Aston Villa are in superb form right now with a comfortable victory over Middlesbrough last time out making it four wins in a row.

That success moved Dean Smith's men into the top six too and there is a real belief and optimism around the club that they will be in the play-offs come May.

Whilst the return of Jack Grealish has been key to that, so has the loan signing of Tyrone Mings as the big defender has really improved Villa defensively since arriving from Bournemouth on deadline day in January.

Having former England legend John Terry as a coach must have helped in that sense and the ex-Chelsea man shared a video of Mings doing a defensive drill

Terry calls on the 26-year-old to head clear a ball before racing back to stop a goal and he has to repeat that on the other side after getting up very quickly.

Mings manages to do it and it earns a lot of praise from the assistant after doing so.

Villa will be seeking a fourth clean sheet in five games when they host Blackburn after the international break.

The Verdict

The fans will surely appreciate this insight from Terry and you have to say it's very impressive from Mings in this drill.

He has been superb since joining the club and his partnership with Kortney Hause in the heart of Villa's defence looks very strong.

With Terry around he can be asking the best for guidance and it must be a dream for the defenders to be working with someone of his standing in the game.
