The Scot signed for Villa only last summer from Hibernian, and has quickly become a fan favourite through his blistering performances and occasional stunning goals.
McGinn scored what proved to be the winner against Derby, and to him there is probably no better feeling.
The post of McGinn shows him on the Wembley turf, on his knees with fists clenched in celebration, and the look on his face tells a thousand words. The caption simply reads: "What a week" - a feeling every Villa fan must be thinking.
The 24-year-old will now have the opportunity to play in the Premier League and if his performances to date are anything to go by, he will take that chance by the scruff of the neck.
The Verdict
Aston Villa have deserved this promotion through hard work and hard-fought wins. McGinn has epitomised that and this photo represents all the passion, desire and effort he has put in throughout the season.
He has deserved this moment, and it will certainly be a stand-out occasion for him in his career. Taken just seconds after the final whistle, it also shows the relief etched across his face. Villa's players were under enormous pressure to gain promotion this season for several reasons, and thankfully for McGinn and co. it was a different outcome at Wembley this year.
