Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck says the team are ready to bounce back from the weekend's disappointment, and are fully focused on the Easter weekend double-header.

The Blades' automatic promotion hopes suffered a blow at the weekend, as they conceded a 95th-minute equaliser to draw at home to Millwall.

The result at Bramall Lane means Sheffield United are now three points behind Leeds United in the Championship's automatic promotion race, with just four matches to go.

The Blades now face an Easter weekend double-header that could potentially define their season. Nottingham Forest visit Bramall Lane on Friday, before the team travel to the KCOM Stadium to face Hull City on Monday.

Fleck has insisted that the players are ready to bounce back from the Millwall result and are fully focused on the next two matches.

“We will certainly be ready to go again. We have got our heads down this week for another big game at home. We need to try and get a result, and, hopefully, a better performance,” said Fleck, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post.

“We have still got an opportunity. After Millwall, it was hard to look at the positives as we did not win the game. But we will be ready for the next game,” added the midfielder.

After the weekend, Sheffield United face already-relegated Ipswich Town at home before a final day trip to Stoke City.

The Verdict:

I'm sure it would have felt like a defeat for Sheffield United against Millwall on Saturday, with the visitors scoring an injury-time equaliser, but there are still four matches to go and it is still all to play for in the promotion race.

Fleck is right. The players have got to somehow find a way of putting last weekend's disappointment behind them and must focus on preparing for the next two games, as they cannot afford any more slip-ups.

Both Sheffield United and Leeds have been brilliant all season in the Championship and it is a shame that one of them looks set to miss out on automatic promotion.
