Nottingham Forest players are enjoying downtime as they prepare for what they hope will be a promotion push next season.

The Reds finished 17th in the Championship under Chris Hughton this season, scoring only 37 goals in 46 games in a lacklustre campaign.

Hughton has won promotion twice from this division before, and he will look to add to his CV next season as he looks to get his squad in place.

Joe Worrall was the standout performer for Forest this season, with the defender winning the supporters' Player of the Season award.

Worrall endured a frustrating campaign with injury and made only 31 appearances in the Championship this term, and is attracting interest from Burnley, West Ham and Norwich.

The centre-half, though, is enjoying life on holiday with teammates Joe Lolley and Ryan Yates, with Matty Cash also joining them.

Speculation clearly isn't affecting Worrall just yet, with the defender having a blast at karaoke and exercising the vocal chords, as per Joe Lolley's Instagram story which was captured by a fan on social media.

The Verdict

Chris Hughton will be keen to revamp his squad this summer, but keeping Worrall has to be a priority.

In Worrall, they have future captain material. They have a player who loves the club and knows it like the back of his hands.

Forest look very solid whenever he plays, and he forged a good understanding alongside Scott McKenna this season. That partnership should make Forest fans feel optimistic for the future and next season in particular.
