After an outstanding opening month of the season for Swansea City, Borja Baston has been voted as the Swans' Player of the Month for August.

The Spanish forward has been influential in helping Steve Cooper's side occupy top spot going into the second month of the campaign, scoring an impressive five goals in six league games.

After scoring just one goal in 20 appearances for the Swans before this season, it looked almost inevitable that Baston would leave the Liberty Stadium in the summer.

But after a magnificent turnaround in form, the striker has quickly established himself as one of the most clinical forwards in the second tier, and will be so important for the Swans in their push for promotion this term.

Defender Joe Rodon was also nominated for the award after a series of solid defensive displays alongside Mike van der Hoorn, with winger Andre Ayew also being recognised for an impressive month.

But there was really only one winner, with Baston claiming the award for August, after a prolific month in front of goal.

Here, we take a look at how Swansea fans have reacted to this news...
