Swansea City have recently confirmed that Joe Rodon has completed a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on Deadline Day.

Rodon has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Swans, after coming through the ranks of the club's academy team.

The defender went on to make 54 appearances for Swansea in total, and he played a key role in their top-six finish last season under the management of Steve Cooper.

But his efforts weren't quite enough last term, as Swansea missed out on promotion into the Premier League, after being beaten by Brentford in their play-off semi-final.

Rodon will be hoping that he can make a positive impact with Jose Mourinho's side this season, as they target a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Swans are currently sat fourth in the Championship table, and will be looking to mount a serious push for promotion into the Premier League this season.

They're set to return to league action in midweek, when they take on Coventry City, in what could potentially be a tricky test for Steve Cooper's side.

The Verdict:

It'll be interesting to see how he copes with Spurs in the future.

Rodon has really impressed me since breaking into the Swansea City first-team, and I think he's more than capable of forcing his way into Jose Mourinho's starting XI in the future.

Swansea are the club that gave the defender his chance in the first-team, and they're clearly a team that'll remain in his heart going forward.

I think the Swans will have enough depth in their team to challenge for promotion into the Premier League once again this term.
