Nottingham Forest's Lolley was pleased for teammate Joe Worrall after the centre-back signed a new long-term contract at the City Ground.

The 23-year-old has been an integral member of Sabri Lamouchi's team this season, with his performances at the back helping the side to a top six place.

So, with his previous deal expiring in 18 months time, the Reds were keen to tie Worrall down and it was confirmed on the club's site this afternoon that he had signed a deal to stay until 2024.

As you would expect, there were plenty of responses to the news and one came from Lolley.

The former Huddersfield man responded with a short GIF of a passionate Michael van Gerwen fist pump celebration - clearly giving this update his approval.

Like Worrall, Lolley has been a regular this season, playing his part to put Forest in contention for automatic promotion.

The East Midlands outfit are back in action on Saturday when they take on leaders West Brom at The Hawthorns in what is a huge game for both sides.

Where did these 15 Nottingham Forest players sign from?

The verdict

The way Lolley interacts with fans and comes across on social media is great to see and he is clearly pleased for Worrall going by this post.

In truth, everyone connected to Forest will have had a similar reaction when they heard the news because the centre-back has been outstanding this season and fully merits a new deal.

Now, the challenge for all concerned is to get back to winning ways on Saturday after the disappointing defeat to Charlton in the week.
