Nottingham Forest will be hoping that they can finish this year's campaign strongly under the guidance of Sabri Lamouchi this term.

The Reds are currently sat fifth in the Championship, and with nine games remaining this season, they would have been quietly confident of making a timely return to the top-flight.

One player that has been key to their impressive showings this season is Joe Lolley, who has scored eight goals and seven assists in 37 appearances for the club in this year's campaign.

Their push for promotion has been put on hold for the time being though, with recent off-the-field events calling an abrupt halt to fixtures across the UK.

There is yet to be a scheduled return date finalised for fixtures to get back underway, as the wait goes on for supporters to see their side back in action.

Lolley took to Twitter to question whether lives could have been saved if the match between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid hadn't have gone ahead, despite the off-the-field situation worsening at the time.

The match took place on the 11th March, and the Spanish side ran out winners on aggregate, in front of a stunned Anfield crowd on the night.

There has been intense scrutiny on some of the relevant authorities for not postponing the match, or having it played behind-closed-doors.

The Verdict:

He's spot on with his verdict here.

I'm still amazed as to why that game between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid took place in front of a packed Anfield crowd earlier this year.

You have to wonder that if the country had locked down sooner than it did, then the rate of the issues worsening would have been considerably slower.

Lolley has been hugely impressive for the Reds this season, and he'll be key to their push for promotion into the Premier League under the guidance of Sabri Lamouchi.
