‘Jesus’, ‘Not again’ – Many Middlesbrough fans react to recent transfer news

Many Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club have opened talks to sign outgoing Nottingham Forest winger Sammy Ameobi.

As reported by Football Insider earlier today, Boro are said to be keen on signing the 29-year-old attacker on a free transfer and have opened talks with the player who will soon be a free agent.

Ameobi was a regular feature for Forest during the season just gone and notched up three goals and two assists over the course of 34 appearances, which came across all competitions.

Now it appears that Boro are looking to bring back the winger to the Riverside Stadium, with the former Newcastle United man having previously had a loan spell with the club back in the 2012/13 season.

Naturally the news of Ameobi’s potential arrival didn’t take long to reach the Boro faithful, with many taking to social media to air their views on the speculation.
