Brighton and Hove Albion’s quick winger Jesse Lingard is looking forward to the penultimate game of the Championship season, which could bring the Seagulls into the play-off zone.

The Manchester United loanee Lingard has a positive approach to the game, despite them depending on Wigan or Reading to slip up at this crucial stage for having a chance of reaching the semi-finals. “As long as we do our job that’s all we can focus on. I am really enjoying being involved at this period of the season; it’s exactly what you want to play for. I really thrive off the pressure and it’s great to have all the fans behind you”, the 21-year-old winger told Seagulls.co.uk.
The 21-year-old starlet, who has picked up some scoring form with three goals in his last five appearances, is relatively unexperienced at this level, but nonetheless he is embracing the opportunity to achieve promotion through the play-offs. “I have never really experienced anything like this before and it’s a great time for the club so I am just glad to be here.”
Lingard additionally seemed pleased regarding his own game as well: “It’s been a real confidence boost being down here; I really enjoy creating and scoring goals and trying to do my part for the team.”
