It’s safe to say that Bolton Wanderers supporters haven’t had much to cheer about in what has been a frustrating league campaign this term.
The Trotters are currently sat bottom of the League One table, and are 21 points adrift of safety heading towards the conclusion of this year’s campaign.

The 30th April is a date that plenty of the club’s fans will remember well as it was the date that the club won promotion back into the Championship under the management of Phil Parkinson.
One player that played his part in that promotion into the second tier was Jem Karacan. The midfielder made five league appearances for the Trotters in that season, as they finished second in the table.
Their final game of that season was a 3-0 win over Peterborough United, with the Turkish midfielder scoring the opener on the day.
Karacan took to Instagram to look back at that memorable moment in which they were promoted back into the Championship in 2017.
The 31-year-old went on to make 16 league appearances for Bolton in the Championship the following season before leaving when his contract expired in the summer of 2018.
Karacan is currently without a club after his spell with Australian club Central Coast Mariners came to an end in 2019.
Bolton will be hoping they can finish this year’s campaign strongly, although recent events have called a halt to fixtures across the UK, with no scheduled return date in place as of yet.
