Millwall's weekend match winner Jed Wallace has tipped Neil Harris to be a success at Cardiff City, saying that he expects the former Millwall boss to do "brilliantly" in his new role.

Wallace was once again on target on Saturday for Millwall, netting a brilliantly taken free-kick to to take the three points against Swansea in a 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium.

The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for the Lions this season, with seven goals and two assists from 15 league matches.

The winger was signed on three separate occasions by former Millwall boss Neil Harris, with his move to the Den made permanent in June 2017 after two previous loan spells.

There is mutual respect between the pair, and Wallace believes that his former manager will do a good job at Cardiff City, according to News at Den.

"Cardiff will be a hard team to beat as Millwall were the last four years," Wallace said.

"Whatever way you play it’s about winning games and sending fans home happy. I’m sure Neil Harris will be doing that plenty down the road. I’m happy for him that they got a point [against Charlton]."

Can you name Millwall's club player of the year from the last 15 seasons?

The Verdict

It is clear that Wallace has a large amount of admiration for Neil Harris from the time the pair spent together at the Den.

Having the support from a former player will be good to hear for the Cardiff manager, and he will be keen to show everyone what he can do in the Welsh capital.
