Millwall midfielder Jayson Molumby is looking forward to getting back home tonight as the Lions face Birmingham City at The Den.

Gary Rowett's side haven't played a home game since they got a point against the promotion-chasing Fulham a couple of weeks ago.

They have faced successive away journeys to Preston North End and Wigan Athletic since as the Lions look to pull themselves toward the play-off places.

Two big games at home are now on the horizon for Millwall as they host Birmingham tonight before taking on Bristol City at The Den on Saturday in a crucial battle during the play-off race.

Speaking to Millwall's official website, Molumby said: "It's always good to get back to The Den, obviously playing at home is a big advantage for us and we've done well there this season so it'll be good to be back there.

"Obviously it's very disappointing working so hard away at Preston and then just not getting over the line at Wigan. We'll be glad to get back home now and get a good turn out [on Wednesday]. Hopefully we can get a win and get back to winning ways.

"You can't overthink those type of games [Wigan] and you just want to get back onto the next game and get it right. We need to keep moving forward, the League is crazy. Wigan went away to Leeds and won there, so anyone can beat anyone in this League."

The central midfielder joined the club on loan in the summer and he has become a regular in the heart of midfield as he has featured 26 times in the league.

He has impressed during his first loan in senior football with some mature displays for the Lions as he has acclimatised well in the box-to-box role that he has played under Rowett.

The Verdict

Millwall have rarely lost at home since Rowett came in during October and they will be looking to continue their good form under the lights tonight.

Molumby has become a vital part of the side at The Den and he is just one of several players that the home Millwall fans enjoy watching on a matchday.

He is set to play a crucial part for Millwall in the run-in as they look to secure a place in the top six.
