Bournemouth manager Jason Tindall has heaped praise on the shoulders of the club's former player Lyle Taylor as the striker gears up to face his old employers for current club Nottingham Forest tonight.

Taylor was formerly on the books of the Cherries back in 2010, before going on to carve out a successful career for himself in the lower reaches of the Football League with first AFC Wimbledon and more recently Charlton Athletic before making the move to Forest this summer on a free transfer.

Despite only making 33 appearances for the South Coast club before departing in 2012 for Falkirk, Tindall has moved to praise the attitude of Taylor who has bounced back from his early career struggles during a recent interview with the Bournemouth Echo:

"Sometimes you get knocked down and you have to get back up and fight and Lyle’s certainly showed that with his character and the journey that he’s had.

"Full credit to him for doing that. He’s gone on and had a really good career, he’s scored a lot of goals in the last few seasons and he’s hit the ground running at Nottingham Forest.

"I’m sure they’re really pleased with the signing and the level of performance he’s delivered for them."

Since arriving at the City Ground earlier this year, Taylor has gone onto four goals in his first 13 outings for the Reds.

The Verdict

Taylor is the prime example of a professional that has never given up on their pursuit to reach a high level and has come a long way since being released by Millwall as a youngster.

Forest are certainly starting to reap the rewards of their investment and will now hope that he can kick on under the guidance of Chris Hughton.

Tonight's game will prove to be a tough test for the Reds, however there is no doubting that the powerful forward will be eyeing a slice of revenge against his former club on the South Coast.

It is clear that Tindall is wary of Bournemouth's former frontman and for that reason I expect Taylor to be in for a bit of rough treatment from the Cherries backline this evening.
