Under Martin O'Neill, Nottingham Forest are showing real signs that they could sneak into the top-six before the end of the season.

They have been well off the pace all season but the arrival of the Irishman to replace Aitor Karanka seems to have given everyone in the squad a real lift at just the right time.

One player who has personified that change in spirit is January signing Yoan Benalouane who made the move across the Midlands from Leicester City to join the Reds and has made an immediate impact.

The Tunisian was one of O'Neill's first signings and has added some real bite to their backline as well as in the opposition box.

A winner against Derby County on Monday night cemented his current position as a cult hero around the City Ground and having already been sent off for the club as well he is quickly becoming the sort of erratically brilliant players that fans love.

But what will he be thinking of this new found status amongst the fans?

Having had a tricky time at Leicester, having been banished to the under-23's I imagine he will be somewhat overwhelmed with the love and admiration that Forest fans have shown for him in such a short space of time.

He arrived at Leicester back in the summer of 2015 but has made just 29 appearances since then and he will no doubt feel like he has found a new home now.
