Pontus Jansson has stated Leeds United are only focused on winning games, and are not interested in what their Sky Bet Championship rivals have to say about them, reports the club’s official Twitter account.

Leeds’ 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion last Saturday dealt the club’s Play-Off hopes a major blow, but news of their demise was met with joy by their rivals, particularly Fulham and Huddersfield Town, during their clash at the John Smith’s Stadium.

A video emerged on social-media of Fulham and Huddersfield’s fans singing: “Leeds are falling apart again.”

Both Fulham and Huddersfield look set to make the Play-Offs at the expense of Leeds, but Jansson, who has been a key figure at Elland Road this season, stressed he was not interested in what other club’s supporters were saying, he said: “I’ve seen some videos of the Huddersfield and Fulham fans singing ‘Leeds had f***** it up.’

“They can sing their songs, our focus is on winning our game.”

Garry Monk’s side still have a chance of breaking back into the top-six, but their destiny is out of their hands as they trail sixth-placed Fulham by three-points, with just two fixtures of the season remaining.

Norwich City visit Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, where Leeds will be looking to return to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.
