It's safe to say that it's been a frustrating league campaign to date for Ipswich Town in League One under the management of Paul Lambert.

The Tractor Boys are currently sat tenth in the third tier standings, but are just seven points adrift of the play-off places heading into the final nine games of this year's campaign.

One player that has been a regular in Paul Lambert's squad this season is James Norwood, who has made a relatively good impression with the Portman Road faithful.

The forward has hit 11 goals in 32 appearances for Ipswich Town this season, in what is his first season with the club since moving from Tranmere Rovers in the summer of 2019.

Norwood recently revealed that he'd be on the sofa relaxing during the break from competitive action, with one Ipswich supporter seemingly not happy to see him not training.

Norwood was quick to respond to the supporter, and made the hilarious claim in saying that he still wouldn't be able to control the ball even if he did train harder.

Due to recent off-the-field events, all fixtures in the EFL have been called to an abrupt halt, with no scheduled return date in place as of yet as the relevant authorities monitor the situation at this moment in time.

The Verdict:

He'll be hoping he can hit the ground running when football returns to our lives.

Norwood might not have replicated the goal record he had with Tranmere Rovers this season with Ipswich Town, but you have to consider that he's playing his football at a higher level.

Ipswich as a whole haven't been good enough this season, and need to put together a positive run of results at the earliest of opportunities, otherwise they can forget about winning promotion back into the Championship this term.

The Portman Road faithful won't be content if they're condemned to another season in the third tier of English football.
