Heading into the second international break of the season, Ipswich Town sit top of the Sky Bet League One table after 11 games, and one man has been influential in helping them climb to the summit.

James Norwood enjoyed a hugely impressive season for Tranmere Rovers last time out, scoring 32 goals in all competitions and helping Micky Mellon win promotion from League Two via the play-offs.

There hasn't been much to dislike since moving to Ipswich in the summer, either. After 11 games, Paul Lambert's side are yet to lose in League One and have won eight of their first set of fixtures.

Norwood has been in fine form for the Tractor Boys, and his five goals in August led to him winning the PFA League One Player of the Month award for August.

He's established himself as a very important player as well as a fans' favourite at Portman Road, and the striker has now identified the best thing he loves about playing for the Suffolk club.

Speaking to Ipswich Fanzone, Norwood said: "The fans. They are so high in numbers.

"They've gone through tough times and we are looking to bring them back, and we owe them a lot after what's happened over the last couple of years.

"The club doesn't deserve to be where it is, and we're going to try our best to put that right.

Ipswich return to league action with a trip to Accrington Stanley next weekend - Lambert's side will be full of confidence, having won their last four games on the bounce.
