Jake Reeves has spoken about his delight to have scored his first Swindon goal, reports the club website.
The midfielder came off the bench against Barnsley and netted their second of the match, leaving Reeves very pleased with his contribution and he commented on this after the match.
He said to the club website: “(It’s) very pleasing. I nearly scored in the JPT the other night and was devastated that didn’t go in. I was happy to come in (today) and contribute to game.”
“(It was important to) get the second goal and kill the other team off. We kicked on and got the third. He (Nathan Byrne) was brilliant all game. I knew if I could get in the box, ‘Byrney’ could pick me out.”
Having made his first start for the club last Tuesday against Newport, Reeves was happy to have completed the 90 minutes.
“That was my first competitive 90 minutes,” he added. “It was good to get some cobwebs out of the way.”
