West Brom will be hoping they can finish this year's campaign strongly, as they look to win promotion back into the Premier League.
The Baggies are currently sat second in the Championship table, and are just a point adrift of league leaders Leeds United heading into the final nine matches of this season.
More importantly, Slaven Bilic's side are six points clear of third-placed Fulham as they target a swift return back into the top-flight.
However, their bid for promotion has been put on hold for the time being, with recent off-the-field events calling a halt to the sporting calendar.
There has been talk of the season being completed on a PPG (points per game) basis, although clubs have recently returned to training, which could hint that the campaign will be finished on the pitch.
Speaking in an interview with the Express & Star, Livermore admitted that he's hoping that his side can have the opportunity to finish the season on the pitch, as they look to keep the pressure on league leaders Leeds United.
"The only fair way to finish it is on the field so there are no arguments.
"Every team is going to have their own agenda and ours is to finish the league and hopefully finish top.
"That is what we hope we are able to do. That is why we have been training on our own for the last seven weeks, for this opportunity."
Livermore's comments are echoed by West Brom's chief executive Mark Jenkins, who praised Slaven Bilic's squad for the
"I’m not sure there was any more motivation we could fit in. The boys from minute one this season have been flat out going for our goal.
"Despite living in such a strange time that has not changed. Our goal is to protect our families of course but work-wise we want promotion.
"The only way we can show our true appreciation is to finish it off properly and finish it off in style."

The Verdict:
It's no surprise to hear that they're keen to finish the season on the pitch.
West Brom have been one of the teams to beat this term in the Championship, and I can't see any teams stopping them in their bid to win promotion back into the Premier League.
Even if the season had been concluded on a PPG basis, they would still be promoted, but you can understand the player's and club staff wanting to finish the season on the pitch.
There is still uncertainty over how the season will be finished this term, but I can't see Slaven Bilic's side having any trouble in winning promotion however the league campaign is concluded in the Championship.
