Sunderland boss Jack Ross has revealed that Lynden Gooch will be available for the Black Cats game against Shrewsbury on Saturday.
One back for Saturday ✅

The 22-year-old midfielder had established himself as a regular in the side but he has been absent for the past two League One games because of injury, last featuring at Coventry at the end of September.
And, whilst the former St. Mirren boss told the club’s media that Gooch is ready, there wasn’t such good news on other injured players.
Influential defender Glenn Loovens is poised to return to training next week so is not in contention, along with Charlie Wyke and Denver Hume who still are some time away.
Although, there was a positive update on Donald Love, with Ross adding that he is ‘getting closer’ having missed the last six weeks of action.
Sunderland are back in action after having last weekend off due to international call-ups and they know a victory against the Shrews would see them close the gap on the top two.
Ross’ men are four points behind Peterborough who occupy second place, but they do have a game in hand.
Firstly, Sunderland fans will be glad that Gooch is fit and ready to play as he can be a top player at this level and was starting to show his class.
Loovens, along with the three longer term absentees, will be a big miss but they have the squad to cope.
Now, it’s down to those filling in to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure they keep the shirt for when these players do return.
