Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has revealed that Pep Guardiola's admiration for Marcelo Bielsa was a big factor in him signing on loan from Manchester City in the summer.

The 21-year old signed for the Premier League champions from affiliate club New York City FC last summer, and has been impressive for Leeds this season.

And the winger has recently admitted that he spoke to Guardiola before his move to Elland Road in the summer, who had nothing but good things to say about the Argentine boss.

"I spoke to Pep before I joined in pre-season - he admires the way Marcelo's teams play and the philosophy is quite similar to Manchester City", Harrison said.

"The style we want to play is quite fitting for me", he added.

The Whites have a massive game on the horizon against promotion rivals Nottingham Forest this weekend, and will be looking to continue from where they left off after a 2-0 win over Ipswich in midweek.

The Verdict

It's clear to see that Bielsa and Guardiola share the same mutual love for the game - Harrison is right in saying that the two teams play very similar and this can only bode well for Harrison's future at the Etihad Stadium.
