Leeds United continue their pre-season preparations, when they take on Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are currently in Australia, whilst some of the squad are back in Yorkshire, as they build their match fitness levels ahead of the new Championship season.
Leeds’ Jack Harrison took to Instagram ahead of the game, where they’ll be hoping for a better result than their last pre-season friendly.
The Whites were beaten 4-0 by rivals, Manchester United in Perth earlier this week, and they’ll be keen to build some momentum heading into the new Championship season.
Harrison recently signed up for another season with Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and he’ll be hoping to build on some impressive performances towards the second-half of last year’s league campaign.
But the Elland Road faithful were left frustrated as they missed out on promotion, after a defeat to Derby County in their play-off semi-final.
Leeds will be hoping that they can get off to a winning start in the Championship, but it won’t be easy, as they travel to Ashton Gate to take on Lee Johnson’s Bristol City.
Harrison has a point to prove this season, and he’ll be keen to silence his doubters.
He only scored four goals and was on hand to provide two assists in a relatively quiet first season with the Yorkshire-based club as they missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
But if he can find his best form in pre-season, then I would expect to see Harrison playing a key role in their promotion bid next term.
