Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish has given his thoughts on his side's 2-1 win away to Rotherham United on Wednesday night.

Writing on Instagram, Grealish praised the spirit of his teammates to come from behind, especially after playing with ten men for over an hour.

Posted along with a photograph of himself and Tyrone Mings celebrating the result, he said:

"What a win last night! Great character from the boys to come back from 1-0 down with 10 men! Away support was unreal once again. On to a massive game Saturday now."

It was Mings who was given his marching orders with just over half-an-hour played in Yorkshire, picking up two yellow cards in a 15 minute spell.

And they fell behind just two minutes later as well when the Millers' star man Will Vaulks tucked away a penalty, but Villa roared back in the second half.

In a frantic six minute spell after the restart, Jonathan Kodjia levelled things with a spot-kick of his own before a wonderfully worked goal was started and finished by Jack Grealish to ensure Dean Smith's side extended their run to seven wins on the bounce.

The verdict

Going by his current form, had Grealish not spent a while out injured this season he would have walked to the Championship's player of the year award.

His winning goal was absolutely amazing and showed all the brilliant aspects that have won him so many plaudits.

If he can keep it up, it is hard to see how Villa do not win the play-offs.
