Aston Villa made it nine consecutive wins with a thoroughly-deserved 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Good Friday.

The win saw the Villans strengthen their grip on a play-off place, with Dean Smith's side looking like the one of the favourites to win promotion via the play-offs.

It also meant that Bolton were officially relegated from the Championship, and they'll be playing their football in League One next season.

Jack Grealish and Tammy Abraham were on target during the win, and both players assisted each other in a match-winning performance.

/BweUCTMgYRL/">Abraham took to Instagram following the win and was evidently pleased to pick up another three points, alongside Aston Villa's talisman.

Grealish responded to Abraham's post and Aston Villa supporters will love the chemistry between the two key players that will play a starring role in their push for promotion to the Premier League this season.

Abraham's goal was his 25th of the season, whilst Grealish is looking like he is the man to have turned their fortunes around, almost single-handedly.

Without him, Villa wouldn't be occupying a play-off spot heading into a crucial period of the season.

The pair will be hoping to continue their impressive run of form when Aston Villa are next in action when they take on relegation-threatened, Millwall at Villa Park on Monday.

The Verdict:

The deadly duo.

Both Grealish and Abraham have been at the heart of Aston Villa's recent turnaround in form and without them, Dean Smith's side wouldn't be in with a chance of winning promotion.

They're both destined for bigger and better things, that's for sure.
