Jack Grealish is preparing to lead Aston Villa into their play-off campaign on Saturday.

The midfielder has excelled for Villa this season, forming an integral part of the club's 10-game winning run which propelled his side into the play-offs.

Grealish has made 31 appearances this season, scoring six goals and registering six assists as he earned his place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

There has been speculation surrounding his future since last summer when Tottenham saw their approach for him denied by Villa.

Given Grealish's importance this season, Villa have been vindicated in their refusal to sell him at any price. However, there will inevitably be further transfer rumours this summer, particularly if Villa fail to win promotion.

The 23-year-old has now posted an Instagram story featuring Tottenham following their dramatic Champions League victory last night.

Mauricio Pochettino's side secured a last-gap semi-final victory over Ajax with Lucas Moura scoring a hat-trick in a 3-3 aggregate win. Grealish responded to the victory by with a video sharing his experience of watching the match:

Grealish firstly commented on the skills shown by Lucas Moura in his second goal, before claiming he couldn't believe what he was watching when Tottenham sealed victory.

The Verdict

Tottenham's Champions League victory was spectacular, so you can certainly understand Grealish reacting with this video.

However, this will only increase speculation that the midfielder could be on the move in the summer. The allure of a move to the Champions League finalists may be too hard for Grealish to turn down.

He will certainly be fully focused on the play-offs, but Tottenham's dramatic victory on Wednesday night will have given Grealish an idea of what he could be involved in.
