Aston Villa are currently preparing for Sunday’s crunch clash with Birmingham City, as Dean Smith’s side go in search of back-to-back victories following last weekend’s demolition of Derby County.

Of course, the mood in the Villa camp has been lifted following that win over Derby, with Jack Grealish the catalyst in the victory, rounding off the scoring with a fine volley to make it 4-0.

And, this week, Grealish has been sharing an insight into life at Villa’s training ground ahead of the Second City derby.

Taking to his personal Instagram today he’s shared footage of Mark Bunn wearing nothing but a towel following a pool session, alongside the caption ‘What a human’.

Bunn, 34, is very much on the fringe at Villa Park this season, with the goalkeeper making just one appearance.

He’s been left out of Smith’s last nine matchday squads in the Championship, with Lovre Kalinic and Jed Steer firmly established as the first-team options at Villa Park.

Having started the last two, it is expected that Steer will feature in the Second City derby.

The Verdict

This isn’t the usual training ground insight you’d expect, but Grealish has caught Bunn out here.

It doesn’t tell us much, but it shows the feel-good factor that’s kicking round Villa at the minute, which can only bode well for the remainder of the Championship season.
