QPR were dumped out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage, as they fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat against Garry Monk's Sheffield Wednesday on Friday evening.

The Hoops weren't at their best on the night, and will be frustrated at their performance, which saw them crash out of the cup at Loftus Road.

QPR boss Mark Warburton made some changes to his starting XI for the game, as he keeps some of his squad fresh for their hectic schedule.

One player that was handed his first start in a QPR shirt was Jack Clarke, who was then substituted after 66 minutes as the Hoops went in search of an equaliser at the time.

Clarke took to Instagram following the defeat, and voiced his frustrations over the defeat to the Owls, and labelled the performance as 'not good enough'.

Clarke arrived at Loftus Road from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, after having his loan spell with promotion-chasing Leeds United cut short.

The youngster only made four appearances for the Whites in his time with the club in the first-half of this year's campaign, and it won't have come as a surprise to many to see him recalled from his loan spell by Spurs.

Clarke and his QPR team-mates are next in action when they take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Tuesday evening, in what could potentially be a tricky test for the Hoops.

The Verdict:

I think he'll make a positive impact at QPR for the remainder of this year's campaign.

Clarke wasn't given much of a chance with Leeds in his first loan spell of this season, and I think he'll have a point to prove to Marcelo Bielsa.

He looked bright for Leeds last season, and if he can kick on and find some consistency in his performances this season, then he could be a key player to provide the creative spark in the QPR team going forward.

If they can pick up a few wins in the near future, then their FA Cup exit could prove to be a blessing in disguise as they potentially could make a late charge for a top-six finish.
