Charlton Athletic reported a 'change in ownership' yesterday.

The club, which is owned by East Street Investments, announced on their official website that the firm had received a change in ownership, but didn't name any names.

Fans were left somewhat perplexed by the statement which hasn't really cleared anything up, rather than just saying that ESI has a new owner and that they can't comment any further at this time.

ESI have been the majority shareholders of Charlton since the start of the year. Since then the club has been invested in an ongoing boardroom debate which has no end in sight.

Reacting to the statement released by the club yesterday, fans seem sick and tired of this debacle. It comes after a previously contested tenure from Roland Duchatelet as well, but ESI are proving to be worse.
