With Aston Villa looking for options to bolster their ranks perhaps they should look to Arsenal for a suitable candidate.

New manager at the Emirates Stadium, Unai Emery has stated that Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell is no longer part of his plans and is available to leave as reported by Football London.

Aston Villa are in need of some more attacking options and Campbell could be one player that potentially consider a loan move for.

Should Steve Bruce consider Campbell for a loan move to Villa Park?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

This could be a deal that has lots of value.

I find it hard to believe Campbell is still at Arsenal, he had such a good World Cup in 2014 and then disappeared without a trace.

Campbell is direct, powerful and had a good eye for an assist and he would be extremely effective for Villa in the Championship.

As far as loans go, it would be hard to find a player I think is more suited to the Championship in terms of experience, age and ability.

Jay Williams

It is worth asking the question.

Whether Aston Villa could afford Campbell's wages or whether he would be willing to drop to the second tier remain unanswered questions, but if they could get him, then they would have a top player.

The Costa Rica international is clearly surplus to requirements with the Gunners but he would be an asset for the Villans.

With pace, skill, an eye for goal and the ability to play centrally or out wide, the Arsenal forward would surely bolster Aston Villa's promotion push.

George Dagless

Why not?

If any club can pull these deals off it's surely Villa.

It's debatable whether Robert Snodgrass will join now so you can see them going for someone like Campbell.

He'd be a good signing for sure.

Jay Taylor

It would be ambitious.

The striker has failed to find himself in the regular first-team picture at Arsenal and has been loaned out for what seems like all of eternity.

A move to the Championship would be a big one and he has the skill set to adapt and dominate the second tier if his head is in the right place.

Villa have the money, so it would not out of the realms of possibility for it to happen.

Sam Rourke

Why not?

Wages could be the issue with this one, but Campbell is a talent and could flourish in the Championship.

Quick and strong, Campbell has all the qualities to excel as a striker in the English second tier, so it's definitely worth Villa making an enquiry into his availability.
