The Championship weekend kicks off with a huge clash when third place Leeds United host fourth place West Brom at Elland Road, in a fixture which could seriously dictate who fills the automatic promotion spots this season.

Both sides come into the fixture on the back of a minor blip in form, that has allowed Norwich City and Sheffield United to capitalise and stake a claim for an automatic berth.

But for Leeds in particular would a defeat against West Brom end their automatic promotion chances?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"It would certainly end their automatic promotion chances.

"The Whites are in a poor run of form, and a defeat could be costly.

"You need momentum at this stage of the season, and Leeds certainly haven’t got any of that heading towards the end of this year’s campaign."

Jay Taylor

“I think a defeat would be more catastrophic for West Brom than it would Leeds.

“The Baggies are four points off the Whites and Sheffield United in second, and if both win this weekend, the gap will be seven.

“If Leeds lost, then they would only be five points off with Sheffield United still to play.

“So for West Brom, it is a must win and for Leeds, it is a game they dare not lose.”

Gary Hutchinson

“No, of course not.

“There’s loads of football to play.

“They’re only out of it when the math's say they’re out of it.”

Alfie Burns

“It’s too early to say that, but you feel come the end of the season, the result tonight and against Sheffield United will decide Leeds’ fate.

“Leeds need to win and need to put on a classy performance.

“For me, all the pressure is on them tonight.”
