Birmingham City have enjoyed a solid start to the season, with Pep Clotet's side sitting in eighth place in the Championship following their latest win against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

One Blues youngster who is making his mark in his debut season at St Andrews, is 16-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham, who teammate Dan Crowley has compared to Spurs and England star Dele Alli, as reported on Birmingham Live.

So from what you've seen so far, can you see the similarities?

We discuss........

Dean Cooke

"Yes, the teenager has been fantastic since his introduction at Birmingham and could well go onto be something very, very special at St. Andrews.

"He should have no boundaries, as at only 16-years-old, he has such a long future ahead of him. Dele Alli had a similar start at MK Dons, and if Bellingham can replicate what he has done, then he'll be a brilliant player.

"It's important that if at some point in the future, he does decide to move, then he is guided by the right people. That's the only way he'll become anywhere near the talent that Alli is. If he's got the right people around him, willing to help him."

George Harbey

“It’s a very bold claim by Crowley and it’s too early to say anything yet.

“Bellingham is clearly a very, very talented player with a lot of potential, and he’s made an outstanding start to the season under Pep Clotet.

“His goal against Stoke was somewhat fortunate, but his goal at the weekend was well-taken and it must have been a fantastic feeling for him to score the winner again.

“People can’t afford to be placing this pressure on him – he just needs to keep his head down and work hard and who knows where that could take him?”

George Brooks

"I think it's too early to make those sorts of comparisons, but Bellingham is a very talented footballer and he could have a very bright future ahead of him.

"He was superb against Charlton on his full Championship debut at the weekend and he took his goal very well.

"He's got so much potential and he'll continue to improve as a player and grow in confidence as he gains more experience.

"He's already looking like one of the brightest young talents in the Championship this season and he could have a very important role to play for Birmingham this term."
