Middlesbrough’s season came to an end last week, with Tony Pulis’ side suffering defeat to Aston Villa in the play-off semi-final.
Having finished fifth in the table, Boro faced Villa in the semi-finals, losing 1-0 on aggregate in a closely fought contest.
Mile Jedinak’s header was all that separated the two sides after 180 minutes of football, leaving Boro facing another year in the Sky Bet Championship.
At the start of the season, Boro were overwhelming favourites for promotion under Garry Monk, but a sloppy first-half of the season cost them a chance of automatic promotion.
Pulis did guide the club to the play-offs, however, he will be looking to make some changes in personnel ahead of next season.
