QPR are another team in the Championship who are enduring a miserable campaign which is well below the expectation level set at the beginning of the campaign.

A change of manager from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to Ian Holloway has not done much to halt the slide - although two consecutive wins have at least shown some signs that Holloway is turning things around at Loftus Road.

Holloway is picking up the pieces though of years of bad decisions, and his sole aim will be to surely just keep the club in the Championship and go again next season.

In order to do this, Holloway will need to add some fresh faces to the ranks at QPR, and January represents the ideal time for him to go and get some much needed reinforcements.

With this in mind, we take a look at TWO deals QPR could look to tie up this week...

Zach Clough

Playing for Bolton in League One is not really where a play of Clough's quality should be, and he will no doubt be the subject of a few bids in January.

QPR though would be wise to move early and try and tempt Clough to Loftus Road, where he would be more or less guaranteed first team starts.

Clough is an excellent young footballer who's resale value will also be of interest to any potential new club. Holloway would be delighted if he could complete a move for such a player.

Daryl Murphy

Many were surprised when Murphy made the move to Newcastle United in the summer, and he has hardly set the world alight with appearances limited due to the form of Dwight Gayle, as well as his own injury problems.

However, a return to fitness could mean a move away for Murphy, who is too good to be sitting on the bench in the Championship.

He would be ideal for QPR, and is exactly the sort of player what Holloway loves to manage.
