Barnsley are getting back to winning ways after somewhat of a slump in the Championship throughout October.

A win against over-performing Brentford was followed up by a decent 2-2 draw against Bristol City last weekend- both performances that should give Paul Heckingbottom's side plenty of confidence going forward.

But the difficulties the team faced in October shouldn't be played down in the slightest - if anything, it shows the early form shown by the Tykes might not have been convincing as we first thought.

And despite Heckingbottom's team picking up some better results in recent weeks, we think there are a couple of players in this Barnsley side that might not last long at all.

This is a tough league this season and if Barnsley are going to aim for the top-ten come the end of the season, they'll need to get rid of some of the deadwood.

So with that in mind, here's TWO players Paul Heckingbottom should sell in the very near future...

Ryan Williams

Australian midfielder Ryan Williams just isn't getting enough game-time at Barnsley this season and it's difficult to see him getting into the first-team.

Regular starters Josh Scowen and Sam Morsy look pretty irreplaceable right now and Ryan Williams is merely in the shadows.

He's only made two appearances in the league this season and going forward, he might be deemed surplus to requirements sooner rather than later.

Adam Jackson

Another player signed this summer was former Middlesbrough man Adam Jackson who like Ryan Williams, is having difficulty getting first-team action.

Apart from time at Hartlepool Town last season, Jackson's play-time at this level is pretty minimal and with the Tykes doing well in the league, throwing him into the first-team fold now might not be the best idea.

Cutting ties might be the best for player and team going forward.
