Huddersfield Town continue to show signs of improvement, with Danny Cowley's side now unbeaten in six following the weekend win over Barnsley, and out of the relegation zone in 20th place.

One player who does not seem to be in Cowley's immediate plans though is summer arrival Josh Koroma, who has only made only two appearances this season, following his arrival from Leyton Orient and who Cowley has suggested could be allowed out on loan in the January window, as reported by Examiner Live.

So would Cowley be making the right decision to let Koroma leave on loan in January?

"It's the right move.

"Koroma will have arrived in Huddersfield in the summer with the wind in his sails following an excellent season, but that enthusiasm will be slowly seeping out of him.

"So a loan to a League One club could work wonders for him. He needs to remain match sharp and it is a good chance to show what he is capable of again.

"It is a long season in the Championship, however, so even if he is not sent out on loan, I am sure he will get his chance to shine in the second tier."

Kris Smith

“I think it’s the right decision because it will give him some much-needed experience and time to develop which he won’t get as much in Huddersfield’s under-23s side.

“Koroma is only 20-years-old and has plenty of time to become an important player for the Terriers, and if he isn’t ready for first-team football then they should loan him to a club where he will be ready.

“The winger has only just joined this summer from League Two side Leyton Orient and will take some time to adjust to the spike in quality between the fourth and second-tier.

“It would be valuable for all parties involved to loan him out because the player is gaining vital experience, Cowley is growing a young player, and his loan club are gaining a good young talent.”

"It would definitely be the correct move if Koroma does not feature in Cowley's plans this term, but I think there must be questions asked over why he has not received more game time.

"He has been performing well during his appearances for the Under 23s, and he has surely done enough to warrant a place in the senior match day squad. He may take some time to adapt, but the only way he can do this is by playing regular football.

"Cowley may perhaps feel that the leap between non-league football and the Championship may be too large for Koroma at this stage, but he only needs to look at Koroma's former team-mate Macauley Bonne who has been in fine form for Charlton recently after also completing a summer move away from Leyton Orient.

"I do believe Koroma deserves a chance in the Terriers' Championship side before Cowley commits to sending him out on loan, but a temporary move would definitely be best if the Huddersfield boss views Koroma as a fringe player this term."
